Pretty awesome lessons I must say. I'm finding a second and third books to be really interesting and tasteful. That is the more you listen to them the more wonderful they are. But I guess that is the Suzuki method. I learned Suzuki piano so I could teach my students. So I do appreciate all these tips. Since I grew up playing guitars mostly by ear.

If you cannot be bothered to play the bridge of A nIght In Tunisia you really shouldn't be teaching! Do you really think you are a Jazz musician? 😂😂Your improvising over changes is distinctly subpar! Your singing is out of tune and devoid of any rhythm, as is your playing. How UA-camrs get all of these people to follow them I don't know. 2/10

Hi Tony, Very nice playing. I would like to know, if when soloing is it ok to just run up and down the scales a bit, but also play some enclosures etc? a sax player told me running up and down scales is not jazz. any thoughts please? thanks Simon.

Like the minor(and major) blues forms: simple and profound, deceptively easy yet inexhaustible. One can never learn everything about this form. What a touchstone: the player/singer sounded darn good as a novice, and each stage brings more depth, devoid of the need to impress others.
